This coastal destination is known for its unique blend of Mediterranean traditions, stunning natural scenery and relaxed lifestyle. Its narrow, cobbled streets are lined with houses of traditional architecture, many of them built with tosca, a sandstone typical of the region. Highlights of the old town include the Church of San Bartolom\u00e9, an impressive example of Elizabethan Gothic, and the Mercado de Abastos, where locals and visitors can buy fresh, local produce. Strolling through this area is like a journey back in time, with little nooks and crannies that tell stories of medieval times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to its architectural heritage, J\u00e1vea is a place full of life thanks to its cultural and gastronomic events.
